Mission Statement

Our mission in the Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Division at Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC) is to provide outstanding medical care for patients with pulmonary diseases and patients in the intensive care unit, in the most efficient, compassionate, and cost-effective way.  This should take place in a pleasant environment enriched by teaching and research.

Clinical Services

The Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Division of Creighton University (CU) School of Medicine is a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases, critical care medicine, and sleep disorders.  Creighton's team of board certified physicians provide comprehensive care to patients with all types of respiratory conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension, lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, respiratory infections, and sleep disorders. 

Our physicians provide services on the Intensive Care Unit and on the Pulmonary Consultation Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year at the five CHI Health medical centers/hospitals in the Omaha area (Creighton University Medical Center; Bergan Mercy Medical Center; Immanuel Medical Center; Lakeside Hospital; and Midlands Hospital).  They also provide inpatient Intensive Care Unit and Pulmonary Consultation Service at the Omaha Veterans Administration Medical Center (OVAMC) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 6 months out of the year. 

In addition, our physicians provide outpatient pulmonary and sleep consultation service at Creighton University Medical Center and at Omaha Veterans Administration Medical Center. Our Division operates a 2-bed Sleep Disorders Center located in the Creighton Cardiac Center at 3006 Webster Street in Omaha which has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and also provide sleep study interpretation and outpatient consultation for the 4-bed Sleep Disorders Center at Omaha Veterans Administration Medical Center.
