Noor AddasiI grew up in Amman, Jordan where I graduated from The University of Jordan. I moved to the United States to pursue my dream of becoming a well-rounded internist and a great endocrinologist afterwards. Born to two amazing teachers; I have been passionate about learning and teaching all my life! I am excited to start as the Education Chief for this year and look forward to great achievements with my Creighton family that I love. I am also a mother to a very smart and beautiful three-year-old girl and I like to spend my free time with my family and friends, travel to new places and sample their native cuisines. |

Elizabeth GeorgeI was born and raised in a suburban town near Atlanta, and it was in Georgia where I did all my schooling and met my husband during college at the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!). I came to Omaha to pursue my Internal Medicine Residency at Creighton and to join him in training. Although my path to Creighton was initially logistic, I quickly realized how wonderful of an environment it is here. The Creighton spirit is truly one of compassion, respect, and serving others. It has been a blessing to train and grow in an atmosphere that is both challenging and nurturing and to meet some fantastic people along the way. I look forward to this upcoming year filled with new responsibilities as a chief resident. My areas of interest are both resident wellness and recruitment and we have a lot of great ideas for this academic year. I am excited to work with such a wonderful group of fellow chiefs. |

Aravdeep JhandI was born and raised in the Punjab province of North India and went to medical school at Dayanand Medical College. Subsequently, I decided to pursue my residency training at Creighton University which has provided a robust environment for me to further my clinical skills. It has also provided me with ample opportunities to participate in scholarly work. In my intern year, I became interested in various patient safety initiatives being conducted at the Creighton University Medical Center and took part in numerous quality improvement projects. Since then we have been able to launch numerous high value care projects that aim to reduce healthcare related costs. With such initiatives we hope to train cost-conscious physicians of the future who will thrive in the rapidly changing healthcare landscape. I am excited to serve in the capacity of Chief Resident for Patient safety & Quality Improvement for this academic year. Outside of medicine I enjoy playing basketball and exploring many of Omaha’s parks. |

Jai ParekhI was born and brought up in the city of Mumbai, India. When I reflect on the journey from being a fledgling medical student to be the chief resident at Creighton University, I cannot imagine a profession more rich and diverse in experiences. It was a watershed moment for me when I was selected to the Internal Medicine residency program at Creighton University. I was surrounded by motivated faculty, clinician educators and instructors who are trying to nurture, inspire and help the next generation of healthcare leaders. A strong commitment to patient-centered care, resident wellness and the comradery between the residents is what makes Creighton a very special place to work. It was here where my affinity for clinical research turned into a passion. I look forward to the excitement and challenges that my role as chief resident for research and scholarly activity bring forward. I aspire to become a Cardiologist and in my free time, I love playing Chess, Basketball, Ping-Pong and Cricket. |

Mohammad SelimMy name is Mo Selim and I’m pleased to serve as Chief Resident for our training program. I grew up in Cairo, Egypt where I attended Ain Shams University School of Medicine. After graduation I served in military as an army officer for three years. It was a challenging adventure; however, the life, social and leadership experiences were invaluable. It is an experience that I feel privileged that I had the opportunity to serve it and learn from it. After finishing my service, I I moved to united states where I worked in Oklahoma University in clinical research. It was an absolute privilege for me joining Creighton university Internal Medicine program. It has been an honor to be part of an institution that embraces diversity, resilience and compassion. In medical school I developed an interest in education which became more of a passion after joining Creighton family. I aspire to continue working in the field of academic education in the future. I am thrilled to serve as a chief resident in a place I really care for, to pursue and exercise my passion for patient care, medical education and leadership. My areas of interest as a chief resident are community engagement, transitional curriculum, and social media. I look forward to working with an amazing and diverse group of chief residents to serve our training program, residents and medical students. |
