Omaha is the largest city in Nebraska, on the eastern border of the state across the Missouri River from Council Bluffs, Iowa. The city has a wide range of historic and new neighborhoods and a large number of suburban communities. The Omaha - Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area has a population of greater than 800,000. The Omaha area is the home of Fortune 500 companies, several universities, 2 medical schools, a world-class zoo, a symphony orchestra and opera company, a number of professional and community theatres, and several museums.

 

Creighton University is a Catholic Jesuit university established in 1878. In recent years it has consisently ranked highly in national reports. It offers undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees through a number of schools.
