Each year we interview approximately 50 preliminary medicine candidates and accept seven. Once they are part of our program, these residents are indistinguishable from categorical residents and enjoy the same benefits and responsibilities. The rotations and learning opportunities are identical, and most faculty and upper level residents are unaware which interns are preliminary or categorical. Our diverse learning experiences will provide a solid medical background to build upon whether you are pursuing anesthesia, dermatology, ophthalmology, physical medicine, or radiology. For more details on rotation and call schedules, benefits, and training locations please view the categorical resident links.
