Financial Aid FAQ

Q.  Does Creighton University have a priority deadline?
A.   Creighton encourages both new and returning students to complete the (FAFSA) or Renewal Application by April 1.
Q.  Do I have to reapply each year for Financial Aid?
A.   Yes, all Creighton students are required to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  (FAFSA)  You are strongly encouraged to file for federal aid via the web.
Q.   How will I receive my financial aid award?
A.   All financial aid is credited by semester.  One half of the yearly award will be applied toward assessed charges at fall registration, the other half at spring registration.
Q.   How are student loan funds disbursed?
A.    Stafford and Grad Plus Loans funds are disbursed by electronic funds transfer (EFT).  All proceeds are automatically credited to the student's account at the Business Office.
