The Office of Medical Education assists faculty in the following areas:

  • Proposals for Medical Education Grants

Faculty development for education is supported by the Office of Medical Education.  Prominent visiting faculty are invited for special one-day presentations.  For example:

  • Sustaining curriculum reform in medical education
  • Effective teaching methods for integrating clinical medicine and basic science
  • Methods for improving your large group presentations
  • Strategies and tips for clinical teaching

In addition, the Office offers a regular series of faculty development programs in education.  For example:

  • Developing a valid multiple choice test
  • Directing and teaching in multi-instructor courses/clerkships
  • Giving feedback to students in courses/clerkships
  • Sound assessment and grading in courses/clerkships
  • Medical student education at Creighton School of Medicine
  • Conference for Component I and II course directors
