Brian Loggie, MD

Brian W. Loggie, M.D., professor of surgery and chief of the division of surgical oncology, is known for his surgical treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis.  Scientists in the cancer biology program are using molecular genomics to study tumor growth and other disease mechanisms of cancer.

Jason Foster, MD

Jason M. Foster, M.D., assistant professor of surgery in the division of surgical oncology, works closely with Dr. Loggie and treats a broad range of cancer including gastrointestinal tumors, skin, sarcoma, carcinomatosis, and melanoma.  Dr. Foster’s translational research involves investigating the molecular pathways involved in tumor progression and metastasis, which may lead to target therapies for gastrointestinal tumors.

Venkatesh Govindarajan (GV), Ph.D.

 Venkatesh Govindarajan (GV), Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Surgery in the cancer biology program, is studying the role of fibroblast growth factor signaling pathway in regulation of proliferation and differentiation of ocular tissues including cornea and lacrimal glands.  In addition, he is studying the role of Ras oncogene in skin tumor formation.
