The Creighton University Division of Allergy & Immunology Fellowship Training Program develops well-trained physicians who can translate the wealth of knowledge gained during their fellowship to the clinical care of patients with asthma and allergic and immunologic diseases. The Program is an ACGME accredited, comprehensive two-year fellowship which prepares those physicians, BE or BC in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics, for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology certifying examination. 

Oversight of the program is provided by Creighton University Graduate Medical Education office.

Description of Fellowship Program
The Creighton Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Training Program is designed to provide intensive clinical exposure to a wide range of problems seen by an Allergy and Immunology specialists, including the range of disorders common to adults and children.  The Division of Allergy & Immunology is actively involved with clinical and basic research projects, and the fellows-in-training are active participants in this process.  In addition, adequate time during the fellowship is available to undertake individual research projects. Formal teaching includes a weekly review of pertinent allergy-immunology topics during the Allergy & Immunology Grand Rounds, bi-weekly Abbas Journal Club, and a monthly journal club reviewing the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.  Ample opportunities are available for grand-rounds and research conferences in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  Completion of our two-year fellowship will prepare the candidate for certification by the conjoint Board in Allergy-Immunology. 

Eligibility, Selection and Hiring
1.Medical School Degree                          
Applicants must have one of the following qualifications to be eligible for appointment to the Program:
Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). 
Graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association
(AOA). 
Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada who meet one of the following qualifications: 
Have received a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates or 
Have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. licensing jurisdiction. 
2. Completion of ACGME-approved residency in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics
3.  Able to meet all requirements for licensure in the state of Nebraska.
4.  Eligibility or certification for American Board of Pediatrics or American Board of Internal Medicine.
