Chuu-Yun Wong, a graduate student in the Department of Pharmacology, won second place in the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics 2011 - Best Abstract competition in the Molecular Pharmacology Division. The competition was held at the National Experimental Biology 2011 Meeting on April 9-14 in Washington D.C. Chuu-Yun, (Anny), works in Dr. Yaping Tu's laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology. Her presentation was entitled “Protein kinase C regulates phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-triphosphate-dependent Rac exchange factor 1 (P-Rex1) gene expression through a histone deacetylase interaction with Sp1 in prostate cancer.”
