Marcus W. Balters, M.D.

Dr. Marcus Balters is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Cardiovascular Division of the Dept of Surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX for his undergraduate education. He returned to Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center and received his M.D. in 1996. He completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, MA.  This was followed by a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the State University of New York--Syrcacuse, NY which he completed in 2003.

Dr. Balters returned to Nebraska in private practice and the practice subsequently joined Creighton in 2005.  Dr Balters is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is Board Eligible with the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
