Georgios Hatzoudis, M.D.

Georgios I. Hatzoudis, M.D. has recently joined Creighton University as a full-time assistant professor in the Department of Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Athens Medical School in Athens, Greece. In 2005, he completed his general surgery residency at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania and then completed a Liver-Kidney-Pancreas-Intestine Transplant Fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Before returning to Omaha, he has been practicing as a transplant surgeon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 2007. Dr. Hatzoudis is board certified with the American Board of Surgery and American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS).

Dr. Hatzoudis will be practicing as a general surgeon and will help support the trauma service at Creighton University Medical Center. His specialties include liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplant surgery, laparoscopic donor nephrectomies, and liver, hepatobiliary, and pancreas surgery.
