About Dr. Hansen:
Dr. Thomas Hansen sees medicine as a vocation, a calling from God to serve those who are sick and need help. Becoming a physician was Dr. Hansen's response to that call. Twelve years after beginning his career as a physician, he still looks at going to work each day as a blessing.
At an academic medical center, Dr. Hansen must train medical students and residents to be competent and caring physicians. To do this, he must remain up-to-date with advances in the medical world. This allows him and his colleagues the opportunity to pass this information along to the students and apply the knowledge to their patient's care.
Dr. Hansen recommends that when meeting with a doctor you should identify the concerns bringing you to the clinic right away. Be sure to bring a list of all medications as well, so the doctor can verify all the information on their chart.
