About Dr. Nandipati:
Kalyana Nandipati, M.D., works as a general surgeon in the Departments of Surgery. He will also serve as an assistant professor of surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine.
His clinical and research interests include foregut and bariatric surgery, general surgery, minimally invasive solid organ surgery (adrenals, spleen and pancreas) and gastrointestinal laparoscopic procedures. He also has expertise in single incision laparoscopic procedures (SILS).
Nandipati earned his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree in 2000 at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He has completed residencies in general surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He also completed his training in US at New York Hospital Queens and fellowships in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Emory University and in oncology/urology at Cleveland Clinic Foundation's Glickman Urological Institute.
He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Nandipati has co-authored nearly 75 peer-reviewed articles and abstracts on a variety of subjects, also written several textbook chapters including in the field of bariatric surgery, reflux disease and more.
Nandipati is a member of American College of Surgeons, Society for the Surgeons of Alimentary Tract, American Medical Association, Society of American Gastrointestinal an Endoscopic Surgeons and South Eastern Surgical Society.
