About Dr. Nasir:
Laeth S. Nasir, M.D. is the chairman of the Alegent Creighton ClinicFamily Medicine. In addition, he also serves as a family medicine physician at Alegent Creighton Clinic, Old Market and as a Professor of Family Medicine with Creighton University School of Medicine.
Nasir comes to Creighton from United Arab Emirates University in the United Arab Emirates, where he was the Acting Chairman of the Department of Medical Education and Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine. Prior to that, he spent 17 years as a professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
In 2003, he was awarded the William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship and was a visiting scholar at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan for one year. He is the editor and co-author of the textbook: "Caring for Arab Patients: a biopsychosocial approach".
