Pulmonary Scholarly Activity, QI & Research

Our Research Experience

The program will ensure a meaningful, supervised research experience with appropriate protected time for each fellow, while maintaining the essential clinical exposure as required by the ACGME.

The School of Medicine also provides information and resources on the clinical research process.

Fellows will learn fundamental concepts regarding the standards of ethical conduct of research, design and implementation of research studies, responsible use of informed consent, research methodology, and interpretation of data. Fellows will also be required to demonstrate evidence of research productivity through publication in peer-reviewed journals and/or presentation of research findings at national specialty meetings.
