The practice of medicine is rapidly evolving in the 21st century. Therefore, it is imperative that medical education keep pace with these rapid changes.
In the Department of Pathology at Creighton University Medical Center, we strive to provide state-of-the art training for the resident pathologist. Evaluation of our training curriculum is ongoing, and we pride ourselves in providing the one-on-one interactions between faculty pathologists and residents-in-training which we believe is so necessary to produce competent, independent, and well-rounded practitioners. Our residents are encouraged to be independent from early in the training, and therefore, experience smooth transitions into fellowships or practice.
