Psychiatry is a rapidly advancing field which offers great opportunities, and we believe Creighton University’s Psychiatry Residency Program is an excellent choice. Creighton University has a reputation for respecting the psychiatric care of its patients, and the variety of treatment locations (from inpatient psychiatry to medical units to outpatient clinics) offers myriad opportunities for training. Additionally, our location in Omaha, Nebraska, means our residents are able to practice treatment in both urban and rural settings. We diagnose and treat pathologies across the spectrum of psychiatry.
We have multiple faculty members trained in sub-specialty areas including:
- child and adolescent psychiatry
- forensic psychiatry
- psychosomatic medicine, and
- Other faculty have specialized practices in areas such as:
- women’s health
- integrated care
- community psychiatry
- psychodynamic psychotherapy
- telemedicine, and
