General Surgery Faculty

The Division of General Surgery encompasses several areas including digestive disease disorders, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, complex abdominal wall repair, breast oncology, and trauma/critical care service. Our surgeons have international reputations in the field of laparoscopic approaches to various general surgical procedures. 

This service covers all facets of general surgery, with an emphasis on laparoscopic techniques in surgery including the chest, esophagus, stomach, biliary system, small and large intestine, and inguinal hernia.  A comprehensive five-year post-graduate residency education in general surgery is administered by Creighton University.
